In
July 2001, British tourist Peter Falconio went missing
in the Australian outback while travelling with his
girlfriend Joanne Lees. Tim covered the case for media
around the world, as well as the apprehension and trial
of Bradley John Murdoch who was found guilty of Peter's
murder. The soundtrack of the Granada produced film,
Murder In The Outback features Tim's coverage
of the Falconio murder and trial.

whereabouts of Peter Falconio's body following his disappearance
in 2001 remains one of Australia's most baffling criminal
mysteries. As a reporter on the original story, Tim
was sought for comment on the 10th anniversary of Peter
Falconio's murder.
